Notes and review points
Write the explanation of a line or an account, or a question to settle, and see it beside the figures on Reports, in the workbook and in the board pack.
On this page
A company's Notes and review points page (Companies → the company → Notes and review points) keeps two kinds of text that belong next to the figures. Admins and editors write them; viewers read the notes where the figures are.
Notes
A note explains a report line, a Global account or one of the company's own accounts: what the balance is, where it comes from, which contract it rests on. It shows
- on Reports, as a small ✎ beside the line's name (hover or tap it to read the text), and in the closed Notes block under the statement, with its source and author;
- in the downloaded workbook, in a Notes column at the right of the statement sheet and on its own Notes sheet;
- in the board pack, as a footnote under the statement slide that shows the line (in the deck's language only).
A note on one of the company's accounts sits on the line that account is mapped to, and on the account's own row when Reports show Detail rows. A note is never edited in place: Replace the text writes a new note and keeps the earlier one in the history.
Review points
A review point is a question to settle before the figures are final — "is the loan from the shareholder repayable on demand?" It has an owner (free text, such as initials), an amount stated where the question gives one, and — when it names an account — the account's closing balance in the books for comparison. Answer it (optionally closing it at once), close it, or reopen a closed one.
Adding one
Choose the kind, what it is on (a report line, a Global account or a local account) and its code, optionally the layout, the fiscal year, the owner, the amount and the source (a document's name, "call 21 Sep"). Tick for the whole group for a point that is not about this company alone.
